VOIDS
“The sublime is often described as the strongest feeling the mind is capable of feeling; something that is experienced outside of our conscious mind and is rooted in our relationship to the world. The sublime encourages us to feel ourselves in relation to something larger than us.”
Although ultimately uplifting, the obscurity that comes with these emotions is reflected in a darkness; a nod to the unknown. By combining black ‘voids’ with familiar imagery and vibrant brushstrokes; I explore emotions associated with vastness.
